TrustNoOneJR: BTW....I think I'll be interviewing Ryan Dempster soon
IllthoughtOutSN: Sweet.
IllthoughtOutSN: Tell him Comey says hi.
TrustNoOneJR: I will do

You all saw it. We'll see what happens.

More funny crap:

Pepe: I love you Papa Homer.
Homer: I love you too Pepsi.
Pepe: Pepe.
Homer: Whatever.

Ralph: Hello, Super Nintendo Chalmers

Ralph: Oh boy, sleep! That's where I'm a Viking!

Good night.

Just found this funny, and kind of ironic.

What should I talk about?

Well, for starters, "Let it Be" is playing on my Winamp. I'm laying in bed with Em...she's reading on recipes for dishes to make me, and I'm writing this.

I'm a horrible, horrible eater. Junk junk junk...all I eat. I'll generally eat two meals a day...some Panda Express orange chicken for lunch, and then a wide variety of crap for dinner. I'm getting a gut, and I really, really dislike it. I want to work out when I get back to Pennsylvania...I haven't played basketball much at all the last month...I'm going to suck horribly when I get to Utah. Very, very badly, yes.

The Barrons won the 2004 ABLCS in rather shocking fashion tonight, blasting the Pirates 11-0. I was really surprised, due to how bad the Barrons' offense was heading into the game.

The chat for the game went *very* well. I'm rather surprised by how many people came and enjoyed themselves. I think we had 17 people at one point...sometime, I'll find some software that will allow me to broadcast the game like a radio show. But, that time is not now.

Now is bed.

ABL goal for this week: edit and add to the rules

Personal goal for this week: Do an excellent job at work, and end up a high note. Maybe drive down to Newport Beach and see if they have that puppy.

That's just setting me up for sadness.

Sigh.

Here's my token Wyatt joke for the month:

GSXtacy 07: I come to pick her up and her 6-year old sister runs out and yells "Gunnar's here!"
IllthoughtOutSN: She was expecting you to bring her a present.
IllthoughtOutSN: Unfortunately, Wyatt couldn't catch the flight out.

Ah...good times.

Well, it's been awhile since I've written in this. Let's try to recap the major events in my life since the last time I wrote.

Weekend: July 11th-13th: Wedding in Newport Beach. Em's uncle Greg got married. Had a very good time, although our friend Andrea kind of worked my nerves. She's in that stage of life where nothing matters about booze, boys, and telling every single person on earth your opinion of each. I dealt with it, and she'll get over it. We did find a puppy that I desperately want...I haven't been looking, per se, for a dog I can call "Dutch" (after Darren Daulton), but this one cried out "Dutch!" to me. He was a pewter rat terrier, and he was the cutest dog since Bo (named after Bo Jackson, duh). He even picked up my scent right away. I want to take him back to Pennsylvania, although I know I can't. The Chicago Barrons lead the ABLCS, 2-1 over their crosstown rival, the Chicago Pirates, after the Pirates win Game 3, 5-2.

Monday, July 14th: Called in sick to work. I wasn't feeling very well, and the stress of me having to tell Kathie, my job, I have to leave Antioch, was mounting. Hence, the day off. I wanted to spend a bunch of time working on the ABL (didn't), reading (didn't), and with Em (didn't); I ended up sleeping all the live long day. Screw that. The Pirates surprise the ABL world, beating ace Jimmy Potts 1-0, to tie the series 2-2. I also found out that one of my neighbors was murdered. I never met anyone that went on to be murdered. Really left me with a sickening feel in my stomach, especially when I found out what it was over (money).

Tuesday, July 15th: Go to an Ed Fair with Kathie, at El Camino College. Very nice school. I saw quite possibly the largest pair of breasts I've ever seen in my life while I was there. Kind of blew my mind, in a way that only a pair of obscenely large breasts can. I had a softball game, went 2-for-4 with a home run, and we won 15-6. Good times. Oh, I also got NCAA Football 2004. Hell yeah. The real life Jimmy Potts (not the CHN ace), Em's brother, flew back to PA today. I'll miss him; he's fun, and he gives me another guy in the apartment (as it is, there's Em, Andrea, and me right now). Game 5 of the ABLCS is played and won by the Barrons, 2-0 behind Marlon Prince's second shutout. Jarrod indicates he'll throw Potts in Game 6.

Wednesday, July 16th: Tell Kathie very early that I'm leaving. She's ok with it, and kind of sensed it (did I really give off that I'm homesick?!). So, all is well on that front. I play NCAA Football and Game 6 of the ABLCS, won by the Pirates 2-1 in shocking fashion. Percy Dolin, the Pirates' savior, weathered a no-hit bid by Potts for six innings, then seized his only lead in the seventh, and held on for his second victory over Potts this series. Potts lost his bid to win his 30th game of the year.

Thursday, July 17th: Work, then a softball game. Played second base, did surprisingly well, and we won 13-2 or something. I then played in another softball game, as a team picked Dave and I up (Dave is a guy I work with). Came home, played NCAA Football, and then went to bed. It was really that kind of day.

Friday, July 18th: Worked with a temp I'm training. She's nice, and I feel like I'll run out of things to tell her on Monday. Came home, played NCAA, then tried to play some basketball. Didn't do too well, so I came home after two games. I'm not in shape. I went to the Promenade with Em in the evening....that's the place where the 86-year-old man drove through the market on Tuesday, killing a few people and basically screwing me over as a future 80-year-old driver (ok, so that's a *good* thing).

Me: Kelly (work-study coworker) is really a free-thinker.
Claudia (co-worker): Yeah, she really is.
Me: Well, you get what you pay for.

Today, July 19th: Spoke with a new "fan" of the ABL, Tom Lacher. Good guy, and he reads this miserable piece of crap (Hi, Tom!). I got two inquiries about the league, which really kind of shocked me. I didn't think anyone knew of us, since I don't really advertise. I played softball in the afternoon, which wasn't much a softball game, but rather a "stand in heat" marathon. Came home, got pissed off at Matt Zylbert trying to bribe his way around being tossed out of the eWp sports forum (is this something I'll remember in five years?), and then spent the rest of the time hanging out with Em before she went to work, then playing NCAA Football, and writing this.

Goals for tonight: Write up a recap of the ABLCS to this point
Goals for tomorrow: Clean with Em, write up a recap of recent Game 7s in the ABLCS, play Game 7 of the ABLCS, work on learning Frontpage more (I got a book).

That's pretty much the news of the last week. Up-and-down ride...what week isn't?
