This story made me sad. It's a post about EWR 4.0, which just became part of .400 Software Studios, which I work for:

::I apologize as I am not very well with English as I am just learning it.

I'm a father of a boy who had cancer. He was the biggest wrestling fan. When he went into the hospital we bought a notebook P.C so that we could keep in touch with him. The hospital he was staying at was hours away so it was the easiest way to keep in touch with him.

While in the hospital he came upon this game. My son had not been so happy in a very long time but when he found this game he smiled a lot more then he did before.

He wasn't part of this community but he did read it and was extremely excited about the most recent version which was released today. I write this as tears come down my face and I it becomes harder and harder to breath. Two weeks ago my son passed away from his illness. The last time I saw him alive in person he was telling me all about this game and what was happening in it. I didn't understand it because I am not sure or knowledgable about wrestling all that much, but I listened as though it was as important to me as it was to him because the idea that this game gave him so much joy made me feel so happy and extremely grateful to the creator of this game.

It's hard to keep the tears from falling. My son was looking forward to the release of this game and it breaks my heart that he was never able to play it.

I want to thank the creator though for bringing the last six months of my sons life to a much brighter and happier existance. If there is a heaven then my son is playing this game and permorming combat moves to his pillows like he did before he became sick.

Thanks,
[name deleted]::

That really touches me...because, to be honest, I feel the same way about my games. They bring me a lot of happiness. Not quite as much as Em or playing sports, but they do all the same.

I tried using this as my sig, but it didn't work:

John Comey: Man, Writer, Philosopher, Softball God
-Mike Spears

And...yet another small "test". I'll bluff my way through this:

IllthoughtOutSN: Quick, give me something funny.
IllthoughtOutSN: ...you choked!

This was to Jeremy.

I had some things I wanted to post, but damn...I can't remember any of it.

I got the .400 Software Studios internship. I'm quite happy about that.

I also did a mock draft for the ABL.

Tomorrow's going to be a day from hell. Damn packing. Maybe I should sleep now.

I guess this is more filler to ensure that my new headline gets updated.

Yeah, that's it.

Some pictures from my softball game:

Getting ready....

...to hit a home run

...coming around the bases to score

After hitting said homer.

We won pretty big tonight...something like 19-3 or something. Dave, my old co-worker and one of the few friends I made out here, homered too.

At least one of my final games ended in a victory.

I'll have more pics on Saturday, I hope.

If you do in fact have a diagnosed or even undiagnosed mental disorder, describe what it feels like and/or your personal experiences with it. I feel like I'm in a rut an awful lot, and get bored way too easily. There are things I can do...but once I start to do them, I lose interest. So, I sort of sit there. It's very disheartening.
Have you ever been to a therapist, psychiatrist, or psychologist before? If so, were they helpful to you? Yes, but I was 9-10, and I don't think they were too helpful.
Do you think your dreams are a window into your soul? Or do they have any significance at all? Yes, they are. Dreams I've had would back that claim up. ...I wish I could remember them...

Finished at 11:11. How romantic.

Oh, this is good.

Em tells me she's interested in getting a laptop. Great, I say. I have two...one's broken, but whatever. Anyway, I do some research, preliminary stuff...no big deal.

So, I'm searching eBay tonight, and for the first time, I see Alienware listed on the laptops. I'm shocked, and I click. And BAM! There it is.

Alienware Area-51M, $2,280. Yes, it's expensive...but much cheaper than what you can get on the Alienware website. This is a MAXED OUT Alienware. There's something that needs to be disclosed at this point:

I *love* the Alienware Area-51M. I've wanted one ever since the day I saw it. And now, I see one, one that's AFFORDABLE, given our low expenses and how much we have...ok, how much Em has saved up (I have a lot of money, but not $2200 and I have a trip/car payment coming up.

I EVEN LOOKED TO APPLY FOR A CREDIT CARD BECAUSE OF THIS!!! But, since I no longer have employment, I can't get one.

GAH. GAH TO HELL. I should have seen this coming. Little things had been piling up lately...and now, here's a HUGE thing.

I seriously hate money.
